DIY: Peppa Pig Party

I loved creating a very crafty “arty party” birthday for an adorable 4 year old girl. She was imagining Peppa Pig and her brother George too. I made adorable craft kits for all her friends, each with two crafts - a handmade necklace and Peppa’s house! This is a sweet theme for a birthday, or even a special party to celebrate friendship, family and love (think Valentine’s Day or Tu B’Av - the Jewish day of love)! Come take a look!

DIY: Sun wheel wand

We’re getting ready for a new season and extra sunny days by making favorite summer-time yarn crafts, but with a new twist - like this sun wheel! We made it as a wand to wave high at the sun for the upcoming summer solstice. You’re invited to make one too! We show you all the details in our DIY tutorial!

DIY: Summer solstice pom-pom wands

To welcome the sunniest day of the year, we made summer solstice pom-pom wands. The circle shape of the pom-pom reminds us of the sun, and we selected yarn colors to represent sunny days. You only need a few materials to make your own. So let’s go make a pom-pom wand!

DIY: Tissue paper rain-art canvas

Celebrate the season and welcome the soft rain showers of early spring with a beautiful piece of art made with rain and bleeding tissue paper. You only need a few materials - and the best part - if you’d like, your kiddo can even catch rain drops in a bucket to use in their creation! So let’s go make some rain art!

DIY: Seeds of happiness

I think it’s wonderful throughout the year to give children and pre-teens the opportunity to do something kind for someone else! Since we are still basking in the glow from Hanukkah, we wanted to spread the light and make DIY “Seeds of Happiness” and share these happy smiles with friends and family.

DIY: Edible dreidel

One of our favorite Hanukkah traditions is to not only play the dreidel game, but to also make yummy edible dreidels! These sweet treats are extra special because they’re the first food craft I ever did with my girls. You only need four ingredients to make your own. So let’s go make some edible dreidels!

DIY: Unicorn challah

Children of all ages love unicorns! They’re colorful, bright, fun-spirited and full of magic! This first Shabbat of the New Jewish Year (5780) feels a little magical, so we’re celebrating by making this delicious challah.
